CBI arrests Defence Accounts Service officer in Rs 10 lakh bribery case

The accusation involves a company based in Jind, Haryana, which purportedly transferred the money to a middleman in exchange for favorable treatment from the officer, who is a 1988-batch appointee. The said officer, serving as the Integrated Finance Advisor with the South Western Command in Jaipur, is accused of granting approvals for contracts and settling bills in favor of multiple companies.
The CBI, acting on information obtained from its sources, initiated action against the officer based on allegations of impropriety. The agency uncovered details indicating that a payment of Rs 10 lakh was made to an intermediary to secure favorable treatment from the officer. Subsequently, the CBI apprehended the officer after completing necessary formalities.
